Voting by Absentee Ballot

In the 2020 general election anyone who wants to vote by absentee ballot will be allowed to do so because of the Covid 19 Pandemic.

 

If you wish to vote by absentee,  you must first submit an absentee ballot application which you can download here.

When you fill it out, in Section 1, check the second box down for Temporary Illness or Physical Disability. In Section 2, check the second box over for General Election Only.  Fill out Sections 3,4,5 which are self explanatory. Skip Section 6. In Section 7 check the box at the bottom which says: Mail ballot to me at: and then fill out your address below.  Then place your signature and date in Section 8. 

You must complete the application and mail it to the board of elections with a postmark of no later than November 3rd, election day. You can also drop it off in person at the Board of Elections.

 

For Westchester residents send your application to:

For Rockland Residents send your application to:

Rockland County Board of Elections 

11 New Hempstead Road

New City, NY 10956

When the Board of Elections receives your application they will send you the absentee ballot, and you can vote for the candidates of your choice. 

Once you have filled in the candidates of your choice on the ballot you can either mail the ballot to the board of elections or drop it off in person.
